Privacy Policy
StackUp is a multi-game LFG / stack-finder with a web app, optional
Discord bot, and desktop client. This page summarizes what we collect
for the public product. The live app policy (same content, kept in
sync) is also at
/privacy
on your deployed Next.js URL (
NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_URL
).
Information we collect
- Account (OAuth) — Discord and/or Google user ID, username/display name, avatar, and email when granted. We do not store OAuth access/refresh tokens for your login.
- Profile & LFG — username, game prefs, Looking / In Match status, rooms/team codes, and optional source Discord guild attribution (guild ID, name, icon) when posts come from a community bot.
- Discord guild settings — guild ID, name, icon, feature flags, board/log channel IDs, installer Discord ID for servers that add the bot.
- Chat & safety — room/match chat (plaintext); friend DMs as E2EE ciphertext only; reports, blocks, bans, appeals.
- Technical — IP and request metadata for rate limits and abuse prevention. No ad trackers.
Discord bot
The bot processes guild/channel metadata to run Looking / In Match / Idle boards and moderation embeds. It does not archive unrelated Discord chat history. Desktop Rich Presence is set locally via Discord RPC from status already used for LFG.
Sharing & retention
We do not sell personal data. Other signed-in users see the profile / LFG fields you make available (Hide Discord respected). Looking sessions expire (~45 min for free accounts). Request deletion via GitHub Security Advisories or the maintainer on GitHub.
